A Guide To Cutting Your Own Hair

It’s rather interesting and challenging learning to cut your own hair.  Follow these simple steps and you can become an expert!

Initial Preparations:
Wet hair is simpler to cut as compared to dry hair. Let the process of ‘cut your own hair’ be begun with newly shampooed, and tangle-free hair. Let a bottle having spray nozzle be filled with water and kept nearby. This would help in dampening of the hair if it is accustomed to dry quickly. Let the sharpness and nicety of scissors be ensured, so that the hair would not get pulled. If regular hair cut is on the agenda, it’s advisable to invest in high quality scissors which are designed especially for hair.

Cutting little at one time is recommended, irrespective of the style adopted. Novices, in particular need to keep this thing in mind. This is because if more cutting takes place accidentally, you will have to wait till the hair again grows. It is advisable to start home hair cuts with simple styles. The simplest amongst them is ‘One Length’ everywhere. Let the desired length be decided and ruler be grabbed thereafter. Let the work be started in tiny sections. Let the hair be combed ‘straight out’ from the scalp and a section be held smoothly between the middle fingers and the index. Then, the measuring of desired length and snipping
off the surplus carefully comes into picture. This procedure should be continued till the hair gets cut off as per the desired length. Both, women and men would find this method comfortable.
