Tips On Cutting Men’s
Hair
It is a fact that it is harder to cut
men’s hair than that of women’s. However, cutting hair is an
art form that cannot be denied.
There is no right or wrong way to give a
great haircut. You will have your own approach that is
different from other stylists. But before you go and cut off
hair, you will have to learn basic principles that all barbers
and stylists need to learn when it comes to cutting men’s
hair.
The first thing that you will need when
cutting men’s hair is to have the proper equipment, have
electric hair clippers, combs, scissors, hair guards (for the
clippers) and shears on hand. You should also have proper
lighting because dim light create shadows that will make it
very difficult to do an excellent job. Men’s haircuts are
versatile and cutting men’s hair with clippers is best done
when the hair is dry. However, if you plan to make use of the
shear or the razor, it is easier if the hair is wet. You also
have to remember to always check your work. Step back and check
on whether the cut is even and proportional. Seeing things at a
distance can give you a different point of view from seeing it
up close. By taking all of these into consideration, you will
not only improve your skill when cutting men’s hair, you will
be doing an excellent job.
